Logan Square Favorites

This summer, I moved to Logan Square, a northwest neighborhood of Chicago. Having lived in Chicago for over a decade, getting to know a new neighborhood has been really fun and just adds to my love for this city! I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite local finds - from fashion to coffee - if you're a Chicagoan, you'll want to put these spots on your radar!
Let's start with what's most important...:)

Favorite Pastries

Cellar Door Provisions is my favorite spot (so far) for pastries. Almost everything they serve is made in house, and they source all of their ingredients locally, so their menu changes week to week, depending on what is available...which makes it exciting to see what they might have on a given day!

Favorite Vanilla Latte

My daily drink is a vanilla latte (thanks to Meredith!), so I've tried my fair share of them in the neighborhood since Logan Square is full of great coffee shops. Although all of them are delicious, I have to say my favorite is from Reno Chicago. I think they are best known for their pizza (which is great by the way)...but I crave their vanilla lattes. :) Reno also makes its bread in house, which makes their bagels and sandwiches to die for as well!

Favorite Place to Work
Logan Square coffee shop
As I mentioned, Logan Square is full of great coffee shops - Gaslight, Ipsento, and Intelligentsia are all right here. But, I've found a little spot on Kedzie, called Passion House, to be my favorite place to get work done. I am actually sitting there right now, typing this! The coffee and snacks are fabulous, but I really love how light and clean the aesthetic is as well as the quiet and relaxed ambiance. I also love supporting them because they believe in working closely with coffee farmers, importers and cafe owners in search of coffees that are sustainable and ethically grown!
 Favorite Places to Shop

Clothing: If you live in Chicago and you haven't been to Felt yet, you need to stop in asap! I love seeing up and coming designers alongside well-established brands. The store has an eclectic vibe and is always on the cutting edge of trends. And - if you stop in, be sure to ask if Paige is working - she's the best and is an awesome stylist!

For the Home: As I was walking to from the gym one day, I saw this really cute storefront window, and decided to stop in on my way home. As it turns out, the store is called Fleur, and it's one of those stores that as soon as you walk in, you immediately want every single thing in the whole store. Flowers are their specialty, but their shop has tons of cute gift ideas and things for the home.

Books: How cool is it that Logan Square has a bookstore?! City Lit Books is right in the heart of Logan Square. It makes me so happy that I can walk down the street, hold a physical book, flip through it, and buy it right then and there. I love that they foster community by hosting events like Story Time, for kids, and a variety of book clubs that meet on different nights of the week.

Favorite Outdoor Spot

Park and Field is a vintage sports bar with 6000 square feet of outdoor patio space with bocce courts, fire pits, and an old camper turned into a bar. In addition to fabulous food and drinks (and also s'mores), they offer free yoga every Saturday morning at 8:30AM and movie nights on summer Tuesdays at 8PM on their porch! Day or night - this is the place to be!
Needless to say, I'm loving my new neighborhood! What are your favorite Logan Square/ Chicago spots?
